Charr with Sylvari
First off im asking people to do a drawing for me for Guild wars 2 but im not sure who is out there that will do it.
Im thinking of a pic that is like this:
A Sylvari on a shoulder of a Charr Warrior walking down a path some where in Post-Searing
Charr should be weilding a Sickle Tyrian Style and a Grognar's Defender. I want the Sylvari wielding a Illusory Staff. The setting should be at Sun Set, the transition between day and night.
Its to symbolise guild wars transition to guild wars 2, old to new, that and also the description of both raceses make them completely opposites, brains with brawns.
Its understandable if none of you want to do this but if you do post the Comission in order for you to make it. Consider it a challenge. If you dont have enough information post what you need and ill try to post it.

Well.. while I don't think I will join this commision... but feel like doing some character sketch tonight.. and figure a Sylviari might be a good subject.. so there she is...
And since need a place to post up... might as well as pick it here, as it is "half" of the theme....
Well, enjoy, hopefully it might get better artist started too....

Nice drawing AJ, though the body is a bit too glossy for me ^^, the nose should be a bit more to the right I think, though we have never seen a sylviari before
I hardly have time to draw one I'm in my exam week..

I'm interested in attempting to do your request...just trying to find time for it(and for the magazine).
So maybe wait a couple of days?

Well, there is also the artists interpretation of what character should be. Yes I understand what your saying, that could mostly work with a writer than an artist. To get a more outlook on what the character looks like.
Although I like where ActionJack is going on this...he doesnt know what they look like except for the small picture and yet he is still going for it. We have a creative license to give them apersonality..which gives this "request" more freedom, which I like.
Because no can call anyone out for saying "that doesnt look right" or "They arent like it!" hehe
Just for the hell of it I will try and sketch something up tonight ^^

Welll.. you can really tell alot from just looking at one of those concept drawings... (if they keep forward with that concept atleast...)
some of the important characteristic I am spoting are:
-Petite Figure, much like that of young-teenager (mmmmmm)
-Big eye, seem flater nose, pixie-like facial... and round (not long) ear
-Green, leaf like hair, instead of natural hair.
-Cloth is very much theme after nature, with use of various natural materials. but also spoted with jewelers and finely crafted decroative pieces. Show high sign of crafting skill.
-Lots naturalistic pattern (like sun, water, vines, etc)
-happy, magical people (from the descriptions)
So yeah.. I think lots infomration about what Sylvari is going to be like is reavealed in that picture (and the text descriptions)

Uhm. Does anyone have that reference picture of a Sylvari that was in GuildWiki? Because I think it's been removed due to copyright issues and now I can't find it anywhere.
I like pretty races so I might just draw a Sylvari fanart meself. :P

Believe me I've searched. I think the Sylvari ref pic on the Wiki was a scan from some magazine anyway since it looked like it. Don't think I can find it online unless someone managed to save the pic?
